What I'm Loving Fridays-Link Up

Loving this link up over at Simply Lulu Style!
This post is supposed to simply be about what you're currently loving!
So, I wanted to share what I am currently loving.
This week it's going to be what I'm going to treat myself for Christmas this year.

First off, I'm going to invest in some Hunter Boots.
I've been seeing them all over everyones blogs and I absolutely love them.
I've never had a pair of rain boots so I'm ready for my first pair!
I'm kind of hesitant about getting such a bright color...but I want to go outside the box for me and be a little crazy!

Second is that ever so popular Zara Plaid Scarf!
It's sooo cute and it's on sale right now!
It doesn't say it's out of stock, but it's looking like it...so I'll have to check in store!

Third, I need a YSL lipstick. Stat.
My sister just got a beautiful pink color and she said it's her fave.
So, I'll probably invest in a very wearable color...like this hot pink. Ha!

Lastly, I don't know why I haven't invested in them sooner, but the Ray-Ban Aviators.
I find aviators look the best on my face so it would be silly not to get a good pair!
So these are them, loving the gold!

So, those are my must haves this year for myself! :)

December Ipsy Bag Review

This month may be Christmas but, I feel like it's Christmas every month when my Ipsy bag comes in the mail!
It always comes in a hot pink bubble mailer which makes it that much more exciting!
Here's my thoughts on this months bag:

First off, LOVE the bag this month. It seems to be made really well and it's super sleek!

1. Bright Up Your Life Eye Shadow Trio-15 oz.
by PopBeauty
Color: Naturally Bare
Full Palette Retail: $24.00
I'm really loving this simple trio palette.
The colors are definitely ones I wear every day and they go together really well.
Probably my favorite item from the whole bag.

2. The One Stick-2.5 g
by Be a Bombshell
Color: Sunset
Retail: $16.00
I've never tried a 3 in 1 stick before, so if this is going to be my first go I am VERY pleased.
The color of this stick is SO beautiful.
It has a ton of payoff so a little will go along way.
I think this is one of the items I would actually purchase myself after I finish it!
I can't wait to try it as a blush!

3. Natural Lashes
by Ardell
Size: 120
Retail: $3.99
I will definitely be using these lashes. I've heard of them before but, haven't tried them because I usually go with a different brand. They are REALLY similar to the ones I already buy though and just about the exact same size. I was really excited about these.

4. Big Lip Pencil-.3 oz.
by J. Cat Beauty
Color: Caramel Mocha
Retail: $3.99
I love when Ipsy sends out the lip pencils.
I happen to be a huge fan of them...but, I'm really not liking this color that much.
I haven't put it on my lips cause I'm kind of just meh about it...so maybe it'll look better on.
But, after swatching it a couple times on my hand, the stick runs down pretty quickly.

5. Nail Polish-.16 oz. (mini)
by Starrily
Color: Bzzz Bzzz
Retail: $5.00
First look of the polish, I wasn't really a fan.
But, this would probably be a great color to wear for New Years.
The mini is so tiny and cute though. Who doesn't love minis of anything! :)
After checking out their site though, I fell in love with this color:
It's called "More Than Mistletoe" and the full bottle is $12.00 but looks like from their Etsy site the full bottle is only $10.00 so I would check that out!

I am the biggest fan of Ipsy. For $10 a month, I get a ton of product!
As you can see I got $49.00 worth this month alone!
They also send you coupons to buy more product from each company up to 40% off!
I went with Ipsy over BirchBox because they were sending out SOOO many perfume samples, and I really can't stand those.
I've been with Ipsy for about 7 months now and I haven't been disappointed yet!
Check them out!

Spiked Hot Chocolate

I have to share one of my favorite things to have around the Holidays!
It's so good on a cold night when you're just hanging with friends or family!
Super easy and you only need a few ingredients!

Add 1 oz. Jameson Whiskey
and .5 oz Baileys
to your hot chocolate
and top with whipped cream!
That's it!
I first had this on a cold night at a place called Dogwood here in Houston.
Now, I'm just obsessed!
Such a good drink to sip by a fire!

Enjoy!

Sunday Social

Here's this weeks Sunday Social!
Don't forget to link up!

1. What is your favorite Holiday Movies/TV Specials?
Of course one of my favorites is Elf!
We watch it every year.
We also watch Christmas Vacation every year too.

It's a classic!

2. Do you do any volunteering during the holidays if so what? If not what would you do?
Because I usually travel to our ranch every Christmas we don't really do any volunteering.
If I did I would definitely go serve food at one of the shelters.

3. What is your favorite toy received as a child for the holidays?
Gosh, I have so many...I was always so blessed every Christmas.
My family always goes above and beyond for each other.
I think one year I was most excited for the saddle "Santa" bought me.
I had been riding for many years and I got my own horse, and then my own custom saddle.
It was so exciting for me. I think I was seven that year.

4. What was your must have item in high school for the holidays?
Scarfs of course! They still are a must have for me!

5. What do you do on Christmas Eve?
We bake cookies every year and my grandma makes a cake for Jesus' birthday!
We also watch Christmas movies and wrap anything that hasn't been wrapped yet!

Comment below if you link up! Would love to see your answers! :)

The Christmas Tag

I saw that Michelle over at The Girly Gamer did this Christmas Tag and it looked like a lot of fun so I wanted to share with you my answers!
If you take part comment below with your link!
I would love to read your answers!

1.  Do you prefer a real Christmas tree or synthetic?
I have had both. I LOVE the smell of a real tree and going to pick one out. But, I also love being able to pull out a box throw the tree up and get going on decorating. It's kinda nice. I would have to say I prefer a real tree but this year we decided to go synthetic since we will be traveling.

2.  You're in a coffee shop, it's December, what do you pick?
I usually get the exact same thing EVERY time I go. I get a Grande Cafe Latte with Soy Milk and Sugar Free Vanilla. Tasty and fewer calories than other things. If I'm really splurging, then I would definitely go for a Gingerbread Latte!

3.  Whats your favourite colour scheme for decorating the tree?
This year I decided to go with a more rustic look. I used white, gold, and silver glitter balls. I made jute wrapped ornaments and burlap filled ornaments with some pearl inserts, and some other glittered items. I also added some burgandy ornaments to add some color. I also ordered the cutest burlap tree skirt with a cream trim!

4.  Giving or receiving?
I can't sit here and say I don't like receiving...you'd be lying if you said you didn't! :) I really really do love giving though. I always try to come up with that one gift someone really wants and then a thoughtful gift to go with it. Seeing them open it and be surprised and excited about it really just makes me feel the best!

5.  To mince pie or not to?
SO...definitely didn't know what a minced pie was. I had to Google it. I've never had one. Doesn't hurt to try something new!

6.  What's your traditional sunday lunch?
We don't really do a Sunday lunch...but, we did have one I would hope it included some mimosas! :)

7.  Christmas day fashion
We usually all wear our pj's for a while...and eventually we will change into something else a little later. Something still comfy but not pajama pants!

8.  What's your favourite Christmas song?
Oh my gosh, I really can't decide. But, I did just post about my Top 10 Holiday Songs! Here's the list I put together...you can see the rest of the post here.

9.  What's your favourite Christmas film?
Hands down....THE ELF. It was one of the last movies I ever got to watch with my father before he passed away. So, it's a really special movie to me. I could watch it over and over and I would never get tired of it! If you could...well you're a "cotton headed ninny muggins!" Haha.

10.  Open presents before or after lunch?

We always open them right in the morning. My cousins usually wake us up pretty early. So we get started early. This year, we will do Christmas with my boyfriends family Christmas Eve because his brother-in-law will be working on Christmas Day. Then we will drive an hour Christmas morning to my Uncle and Aunts for our Christmas then back to the boyfriend's sisters house.
