Sunday Social

Here's this weeks Sunday Social!
Don't forget to link up!

Little late to post, couldn't find the time with my busy Sunday to get to my computer! So here goes...

1. What is your ideal way to relax?
Literally doing nothing. I would love to be able to sleep in and just lay on the couch catching up on my DVR and doing absolutely nothing but hang with my bf and furbabies!

2. Where is your favorite place to be?
Anywhere with family! It's always a good time!

3. Who do you consider your biggest role model?
My grandmother. AKA Mimi! I've never met anyone in my life who is so concerned about everyone else and not herself. She's the most beautiful and most giving person I've ever known.
4. What does your life look like in 3 years?
I hope with a ring on my finger, either married or planning one and then some kiddos! :)

5. If you could go back and change one decision, what would it be?
I don't think I would change anything because I believe everything happens for a reason.
I'm here where I am today because of the decisions I made and I'm okay with that because life is good!
6. What is your biggest accomplishment in life thus far?
I would say buying my first home! It was so exciting to be able to do that!

DIY: Candle To Useable Jar

So, I have been wondering what I should do with my Bath & Body Works candle jars.
I definitely didn't want to throw them away because they are just too cute to toss!

***Btw, how much do we love the wine bottle reflection in that pic. Oops! Haha.***

I remember a long time ago I had watched missglamorazzi's YouTube video on how she GIY-ed (yes, GIY her version of DIY but Glam It Yourself!)(SO cute!) her used up candle jar.
How gorgeous is she?!
So, it definitely inspired me to make something out of mine!

Here is what you'll need:
Used Up Candle
Knife
Hot Water
Dish Soap
Nail Polish Remover
Cotton Swab
Knob
Glue or Glue Gun

Here are the steps I took to transform the candle into a useable jar:

1. Put your candle in the freezer for several hours. I would say 2 at least!
2. Remove from the freezer and trace around the sides of the jar with a knife.
3. Insert the knife in different parts of the candle and twist so the wax will crack.
4. Remove the wax from the candle.
5. Once the wax is removed, grab a microwave safe glass and heat up some water in it.
6. Carefully pour the water into the candle (over sink) so that the hot water will loosen the glue on the bottom of the wicks. Swirl this around and remove wicks with a knife by scraping them off.
7. Wash the jar wish dish soap to get any residue out. Then dry it off. Also remove the sticker.
8. If there is any residue left you can use a cotton swab with nail polish remover to remove it. This also works to remove any residue left from the stickers.

9. Next, using a hot glue gun or glue, you can add a knob or anything you would like on the top of the jar. I chose this knob I got from Hobby Lobby to add to the top of mine.

There you have it! You can do this as many times as you want with as many candles as you have! I will be using mine to put my q-tips in on my vanity.

Here are some other ways to use the jar:

Makeup Brushes (without the lid of course)
Cotton Balls/Swabs
Lipsticks
Dental Pickers
Candy

If you have a Hobby Lobby near you, they have a TON of really great knobs to choose from there. I mean a TON. Also, a lot of the time they are half off! I got this knob for about $1.50!
Here's a preview of what you have to choose from:

7 Things I Currently Love

I saw that Nicole over at "A Dash of Gold" had a post the other day about "7 Things Currently Making Me Happy" so I wanted to play off of that and do the 7 Things I Love Right Now!

So on to them!

1. Hydrangeas
Loving them right now because I feel like they can be pretty rustic. I've added them in a few different places around my house recently since I've gone with a rustic look and I'm just loving them! You can see my post on my updated formal table for how I incorporated them there!

2. Maybelline Baby Skin Primer
This stuff is pretty amazing! I am a huge fan of this primer because unlike Benefit's Porefessional it won't cost you as much and works just as well. So, if you haven't tried it you should. My make up lasts so much longer when I've used this primer.

3. Mason Jars
I can't even give one reason why I love these things so much, maybe because I can use them for just about anything from holding food, homemade moonshine, making my table look awesome, and just making my rustic home look awesome with something as simple as jar! They come in so many different sizes which is awesome and I often find them on sale at Hobby Lobby and pay next to nothing!

4. Hobby Lobby
Speaking of Hobby Lobby...I'm pretty much obsessed. I mean, where else can you go and get all your home decor and crafts for 50% off all the time? It's the best. I've been going there for years and I'm so excited that they started selling online now too. Makes it a lot easier to get my fix! Pretty sure everything decor wise has come from Hobby Lobby. I just can't get enough!

5. Milani Limited Edition Rose Powder Blushes
First off, the picture does NO justice for how amazing these blushes are. Second, they are HUGE. You get a ton of product. Third, they are so affordable, these run about $7.99 a piece and they are limited edition so if you see them somewhere then pick them up ASAP! I couldn't find them anywhere in my hometown so I had to order them online. Glad I did though! Great product!

6. Silk Vanilla Almond Milk Light
I can honestly say I am SO obsessed with this stuff. I had bought the chocolate version before and LOVED it but decided to try this kind out because my new meal plan called for it. So, I did and I haven't regretted that decision once. I've added it to my cereal, coffee, and anything else I can. It's delicious and it's SO low calorie. I will on occasion drink regular milk still but I think this is great healthy substitute and it tastes GREAT!

7. My Fitness Pal App
Best app I've ever gotten. This app can help you track your calorie intake by letting you add in the meals you eat a day, along with clocking in your exercise time. This app literally has every food I have ever typed in it. It's awesome. Some of the ones I tried previously they didn't have half of the things I ate. It also allows you to connect with your friends through Facebook so you can motivate each other. At the end of you clocking in your day with your food and excercise, it will tell you (after you set your goals) how long it will take you to reach your goal!
Love it, and highly suggest it if want to stay motivated! :)

Well, that's pretty much what I'm loving right now! Sure that will change soon and I'll have another post! If you decide to post your 7 things you currently love please comment back and let me know! I'd love to see your answers!

Thanks for stopping by!

Meal Plan and Supplements

So I've just recently decided to rework my meal plan.
I've been trying to rework my work out schedule with my hectic work schedule so, I had to get my meals right too!
I don't completely agree with that, it's definitely made in the gym too! :)

Now, not all meal plans work for the same people because everyone's body is different but, I wanted to share with ya'll what's on my daily meal plan:

Breakfast:
Carb/Protein/Shredz/Vitamins
1 Cup Gluten Free Cereal w/ Almond Milk Light + 4 egg whites
(I don't always have time to get the 4 egg whites cooked so I substitute it for a 100 calorie Muscle Milk Protein Shake)

Snack 1:
1 Simple Carb/Good Fat
Whole Grapefruit w/ 15 Raw Almonds

Lunch:
4-5 oz. Lean Protein/ 1 Cup Veggies/ 6 oz. carbs
Tuna w/ Pico w/ Reduced Fat Wheat Thins
(This I will end up changing up weekly. Next week I plan to do ground turkey, mixed veggies, and some red potatoes)

Snack 2:
Simple Carb/Protein
Whole Apple w/ 1/2 cup Low Fat Greek Yogurt w/ 1 Packet Stevia

Workout:
Protein Shake

Dinner:
5 oz. Protein/2 Cups Veggies/No Carbs
Chicken w/ Mixed Veggies
(I'm finding it hard to even eat all of this, last night I reduced it down to one cup of veggies)

I stick to this plan 6 days a week and I have one "cheat" day a week. I know this might be frowned upon for some people but when I say cheat I'm not going to eat an entire pizza or go crazy eating ice cream. It's more so going to get some sushi and having a glass of wine or something, or mimosas which I love at brunch!
I am also working out 4-5 times a week doing strength training and cardio.

I'm finding that it's really hard even eat everything I'm supposed to. Last night, I reduced the last meal to one cup of veggies because two was just SO much. I even found it hard to get all the chicken in too! Guess that's a good problem to have because usually I am really hungry through out the day!
I am also taking an array of different vitamins every day now.
This is what I'm taking:

Vitamin D- 1 a day- Good for the bones
B Complex- 1 a day- Breaks down fats proteins and carbs
Vitamin C- 1 a day- Antioxidant
Vitamin E- 1 a day- Boosts immune system
Acetyl L-Carnitine- 3 times a day with meals- Aminos
Omega 3- 2 times a day- Reduces inflammation throughout the body
CLA- 3 times a day with meals- Boosts metabolism
L Glutamine Powder- 1 a day with protein or preworkout- Enhances immune system and promotes muscle growth (Powder version)

Sounds like a lot, but it's not bad at all. I even got this cute little case to carry with me so I can remember to take my vitamins when I'm supposed to!
I picked this up for about $2.00 at Walgreens.

Also, at Walgreens right now they are doing buy one get one free on Vitamins, so I was able to pick up all my vitamins for about $30.00 which I don't think is bad at all.

Let me know if you have any suggestions! :)
I will do an update later on, on how this is working out for me!
